Def drink the Kool-aid

Brand is reputation. It is an emergent outcome sculpted by nearly everything you do.

So why is "brand" and "branding" always siloed away in a Marketing Department? 

Is the Marketing department the only department influencing the company's reputation? Does the Marketing department even have the most influence over the company's reputation?

Nope.

Think about this: If only one department is responsible for brand, then why should the other departments worry about it at all?

Your brand is your rep. Everyone has a hand in it so everyone should care. 

You want everyone, all departments, drinking the branding Kool-aid. Your Marketing department can be the Kool-aid man busting through silos.

OH YEAHHHH
