Failing on purpose
I've used a mayonnaise brand as the butt of the joke when I'm talking shit on purpose branding.
I definitely did not come up with that. I'm pretty sure I got it from this article. But unfortunately we can't know for sure because it's behind a paywall now.
(Cognitive bias alert) I remember enjoying that article and its documentation of purpose branding skepticism... and failure.
Anywho, it's been 2 years since. Anyone think anything has changed? Does anyone see real value in the broad use of heavy handed purpose branding for day-to-day products?
Or do yall still see BS like me?

P.S. I truly can't remember the brand of mayonaise. Which kinda hilariously supports my point.
