You need a brand psycho

A while back I listened to a BMX podcast with a former BMX racer named Jason Richardson. This quick blurb about how a sports psychologist helped Jason's racing stood out to me:

“...I need certain things so that I can just be better focused and have a strategy going in so my brain's not all over the place."

It stood out to me because I thought, hey, that's pretty much what I say to clients:

“...your company needs certain things* so that it can just be better focused and have a strategy going in so your branding’s not all over the place.”

Now I'm not trying to say I'm equivalent to a sports psychologist. But I do want you to have your shit together and make it easier on you.

So, here are just a few of these "certain things" I think you need:

  • A brand strategy

  • A responsive logo suite

  • A visual branding system

  • A messaging system

  • A standards manual that puts it all together

Do you have any of those?

P.S. In a bit of a badass twist, Jason Richardson actually became a sports psychologist in his post-professional racing days.
